As I write this, I’m in a chateau in France. I was invited to do a two week art residency in Orquevaux one month before CFE 2022 and I almost turned it down - until I realized that I should never sacrifice my personal art practice for my community work.
So, I’m here in this beautiful place doing my best to stay focused on the present work while the clock ticks down to CFE 2022 and all of the wonderful happenings about to happen between Nov 17-20, 2022 in my home city of Chattanooga, TN.
So, if you’re just joining us - CFE started as a small dream of creating platform for regional artists. A place where fashion designers, stylists, hair and makeup professionals, visual artists, musicians, digital artists, bloggers, influencers and others could join to showcase their creative work. A place we could gather to learn, to grow, to mentor, to be mentored, to connect, to showcase, to compete, to grow and to create the future we deserve.
Join us. If you’re an artist, find a way to connect. If you’re a collector or fashionista, come to shop. If you’re a business person or ally, support. Whatever you can bring to the table is welcome. This organization has been volunteer built and supported, and we need your input, financial support and creative contributions to continue. We invite you to Watch, Join and Create with us. CFE 2022 is four days, three runway shows and unlimited possibilities, and we hope you’ll join us.
